Admin Configuration

We are working to make Yard Spot highly customizable for your yard operations. Here you can configure your Yard Spot instance with settings and data fields to tailor the application.

Labels

Yard Spot Work Management labels can be defined and color coded. This allows you to quickly categorize and identify work tickets to keep your operations moving at peak efficiency.

Label Priority

If your organization has Auto-Dispatch enabled, labels can optionally have a priority value that influences how the dispatch algorithm orders tickets. Lower numbers mean higher priority (0 = critical, 3 = low). Labels without a priority value have no effect on dispatch ordering. See Capabilities & Priority for details.

Capabilities

Capabilities are tags that describe what shuttle drivers can do (e.g. "hazmat", "oversize", "chassis-move"). They are used by the Auto-Dispatch algorithm to match tickets to qualified drivers.

Define your organization's capabilities here, then assign them to individual shuttle profiles in Shuttle Management.

See Capabilities & Priority for how capability matching works.

Gates

If your organization has Gate Management enabled, gates are created and edited here — name, direction, the site they belong to, and the yard location arrivals default to. See Gate Configuration.

Capture Forms

The field sets operators complete at the gate, defined per direction with optional per-gate overrides. See Capture Forms.

Carriers

Carrier and visitor profiles. Operators can also create a carrier inline at the gate without coming here. See Carriers & Visitors.

Billing Codes

Your chart of accounts for yard activity, plus the rules that decide which code a line item resolves to. See Billing Codes.
